Level 1 Curriculum Areas and Elective Modules

 

There are four curriculum areas at the heart of the Senior Cycle Level 1 Learning Programme - Communication and Literacy, Numeracy, Personal Care and Electives. These curriculum areas are designed on a modular basis and explicitly identify and develop the key areas of learning needed to support students during their time in school, at home, in engaging with their community and to help prepare them for their future lives. 

 

The elective modules available at Level 1 are listed below.
